One card is dealt to each player. If there are less than 5 players, deal as many cards as needed face up in the center of the table, so that 5 cards are dealt. No player may look at his card, but must instead place it on his forehead face out (a la Indian Poker) You should triple or quadruple the normal ante since players can quit at almost any time. The player to the left of the dealer makes a starting bid to 'name the winning hand'. Then bidding continues clockwise, with each player raising the current bid, calling the current bid, or folding. (Note that this is bidding and not betting, as no money enters the pot.) Once bidding reaches around to the person with the highest bid, bidding stops. That player must try to 'name the winning hand.' The winning hand is the best possible poker hand that can be made out of all the cards that have been dealt. To name, the player must be specific as to the value of the hand (e.g. The player can't simply say 'a pair' he must say 'a pair of 5s'. He must say 'jack-high flush' instead of 'flush'.) If the best hand is not a five card hand (high card, pair, two pair, etc.) then the player must also name the kicker (the highest card not part of the hand) as well. For example, a player could say 'three queens with a 7 kicker' or 'ace high with a jack kicker'. If the player successfully names the winning hand, he gets the pot and an amount equal to the high bid from all players who called the high bid. If he fails, then he must give an amount equal to the high bid to all players who called it, and the pot is split amongst those players. Chickistani Poker - A player must add an amount to the pot if he folds. Deal two cards down and three cards up to each player to start. Then shuffle two jokers into the deck. Starting with the player on the left of the dealer and continuing clockwise each player may call, raise, or fold. After a person calls or raises he may choose to take a card off the deck face up. If it is a joker, the joker is shuffled into the deck and the player is out of the game. Betting is unusal in this game. If the bet is called all the way around, the round of betting doesn't stop. Instead betting continues (with calls and raises) until it reaches back to the last person who either called or raised. If this happens, all players reveal their hands and the best hand wins.
